You are invited to our “Family Reunion”!
At 7:00 pm on Monday, June 20, Congregation Ahavas Israel will hold our Annual Meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to elect new officers, address any matters of business, and, last but not least, to come together for camaraderie and connection.
We have had a steady attendance at the Annual Meetings over the last many years, as far back as I can remember. However, I would like to see more people take advantage of this opportunity to check in with our congregational family. I encourage you to mark your calendar and attend on June 20.
Think of it as a Family Reunion… a time when you come together with your extended family (some of whom you’ve seen recently, others not in a long time) in order to catch up, hear the latest news, reconnect and, of course, eat!
That is also what we will do at our Annual Meeting. At the meeting, I look forward to sharing our Annual Report with you. The Annual Report is like those holiday cards you get from relatives, sharing everything they did during the past year. Ours is compiled in a book, with reports from each synagogue committee, which spans the educational, social and religious activities happening in our building and across the city throughout the year.
Many thanks to Deb Johnston, Office Manager, who compiles the Annual Report. Thank you also to the many dedicated Committee Chairpeople who wrote the committee reports, and, more importantly, planned and organized each event and program.
Looking forward to seeing you on Monday, June 20 at 7:00 pm!
